How to Edit Goals Included in a Review Cycle

Goal edits are only possible under certain conditions, and in most cases, your admin will need to un-submit specific items before you can make changes. Conditions & Required Admin Actions 1. Goals approved by the manager, but no self-review or manager summary submitted The admin needs to un-submit the goals. After that, you can follow the steps in this article to edit your goals. 2. Goals approved by the manager and self-review submitted The admin needs to un-submit the self-review first and then un-submit the goals. Once completed, you can follow the steps in this article to make any edits. 3. Goals approved by the manager, self-review submitted, and manager summary submitted The admin needs to un-submit the manager summary first, then un-submit the self-review, and finally un-submit the goals. After these actions are completed, you can follow the steps in this article to edit your goals. 1. Navigate to "Define Goals" option Click “Define Goals” on your homepage to define your goals for the review cycle Navigate to 'Define Goals' option 2. Click on "Exclude Goal" icon Select the goal you’d like to edit. On the right side of the goal, you’ll find the “Exclude Goal” (-) option. Review each goal by selecting a rating from 1 to 5 Provide Ratings for Your Goals 5. View Description Once you have reviewed your direct report’s goals, proceed to rate their competencies. Managing Goals with Restricted Visibility

Click here to watch the video! 1. What is Custom Visibility? Custom visibility allows you to restrict who can view a goal. When you create a goal with custom visibility, only the creator, owner, admin, or the specific departments and individuals you select will have access to view the goal. This ensures that goal visibility is controlled and limited to only those who need access 2. Open Define Goals Section Click on the Define Goals option to begin creating and defining goals for your review cycle Open Define Goals Section 3. Understanding Excluded Goals When you open Define Goals, some goals appear under Excluded Goals. For certain goals the Include Goal button will be greyed out — this happens when the manager does not have visibility for that goal Understanding Excluded Goals 4. Checking the Goal in the Goals Module Go to the Goals module and open the goal that cannot be added. You will notice that it has Custom Visibility enabled, which restricts who can view the goal Checking the Goal in the Goals Module 5. Initiate Goal Editing Click Edit on the goal to update its visibility settings. This will allow you to adjust who can access and review the goal Initiate Goal Editing 6. Editing Goal Visibility After clicking Edit Goal, the goal editing interface will open. Scroll down to the Visibility section and click Edit Editing Goal Visibility 7. Visibility Options Under Visibility, click Edit. You’ll see two options: Departments with Visibility which allows specific departments to view the goal. Individuals with Visibility which grants visibility to selected users Visibility Options 8. Updating Visibility Add the manager of the goal owner (or any required individual/department) under visibility, then click Save Updating Visibility 9. Confirm Changes Save the updated goal so that the new visibility settings are applied Confirm Changes 10. Goal Now Available for Review Cycle Return to Define Goals. You will now see the option to include the goal in the review cycle, as the visibility requirement has been fulfilled Goal Now Available for Review Cycle 11. Changing Visibility to Include the Goal If you do not want to manage custom visibility for a goal, you can change the visibility setting to Public or Private based on your preference. Once updated, the goal can be included in the review cycle, as the visibility restriction will no longer prevent it from being added

How Goal Sheets Provide Read-Only Access to Reviews for Employees

Click here to watch the video! 1. Accessing Ongoing Review Cycles On the homepage, after the My Tasks section, you will see the Ongoing Review Cycles section. This section displays the active review cycles available to you. To view a review cycle, click the Open option next to the review cycle name Accessing Ongoing Review Cycles 2. Accessing Your Goal Sheet If you do not have any direct reports, only the For You option will be displayed. Under the "For You" section, by clicking the Goal Sheet option, you will be able to see the self-review form you submitted in read-only mode. The Goal Sheet displays all goal blocks, competencies, and other form sections exactly as submitted Accessing Your Goal Sheet 3. View Team Goal Sheets If you have direct reports, you will see the For People You Work With option. The For You option will also be visible if you have submitted a self-review. From the For People You Work With option, a manager can view the Goal Sheets of their team, including both direct and indirect reports. In this view, managers can see the reviews they have submitted for their direct reports, as well as the feedback provided to indirect reports by their respective managers. To access these details, click the greater-than icon under the "Team Goal Sheet" option View Team Goal Sheets 4. Select Team After clicking on the Team Goal Sheet option, managers can access the Goal Sheets for the reviewees they have permission to view. Managers can filter the team based on their preference: Entire Team – View review details for both direct and indirect reports Direct Reports – View review details only for direct reports Indirect Reports – View review details only for indirect reports This filtering allows managers to view Goal Sheets according to their specific requirements Select Team 5. View Team Goal Sheet Details After selecting a team, all details for the selected team will be displayed. In this view: For Direct Reports, you can see the reviews submitted by you to your direct reports. For Indirect Reports, you can see the feedback they have received from their respective managers.
