1. Navigate to Define Goals
From the Home page, click on the "Define Goals" option. This is where you can start creating new goals for the review cycle

2. Create a New Goal
Once you are on the Define Goals page, click on "Create Goal" to begin creating a new goal for the selected review cycle

3. Add the Objective
Enter the objective you want to achieve

4. Add an Optional Goal Description
You may add a goal description to provide additional context or clarity. This field is optional and can be used to explain the intent of the goal

5. Enable Additional Settings
Enable Additional Settings to view and configure more details related to the goal you are creating

6. Select Goal Cycle
Review and select the appropriate goal cycle from the dropdown (Active, Upcoming, or Previous) to ensure the goal is created under the correct cycle; the start and due dates will auto-populate and can be adjusted if needed

7. Choose Goal Owners
The goal owner is displayed by default. You can also add additional owners if the goal needs to be shared or co-owned

8. Select Goal Type
Under Goal Type, select whether this goal is meant to be a Company Goal, Department Goal, or Individual Goal, depending on its purpose and scope

9. Set Goal Visibility
Choose the appropriate visibility level for the goal. Public makes the goal visible to everyone in the organization, Private restricts visibility to certain employees and Custom allows you to define specific visibility rules for selected individuals or teams

10. Choose the Progress Type
Choose the preferred Progress Type from the dropdown. This determines how progress will be measured and calculated for the goal

11. Select Progress Tracking Method
Under Track Progress, you can choose how goal progress is updated: manually through regular check-ins, automatically by rolling up progress from child goals or key results, or automatically via an external data source through an integration, depending on how you want progress to be tracked

12. Set Goal Alignment
In the Alignment section, use the dropdown to align the goal by choosing either Key Result to Parent Goal or Align Goal to Parent Goal

13. Add A Key Result
In the current review cycle, the configuration is set to Key Results–Only, meaning goals are visible and evaluated only when they have key results added. Key results are grouped under their respective parent goals. If a goal is created without any key results, it will not appear in the Defined Goals section. To ensure the goal appears correctly, add at least one key result by clicking “Add a Key Result” under the parent goal

14. Enter Key Result Details
Adding key results follows the same process as creating a parent goal or objective. You’ll provide similar details, such as the title, optional description, progress type, and other relevant settings

15. Add Another Key Result
Click "Add another Key Result" to include additional measurable outcomes for your goal

16. Create the Goal
Once all configurations are complete, click "Create" to add the goal

17. View Created Goals
The newly created goal with key results will now appear under the Defined Goals section

18. Assign Goal Weightage
If weightage is enabled in the review cycle settings, you can assign a weight to the goal to define its importance in the overall evaluation

19. Exclude Goals
If a goal should not be considered for the review cycle, you can exclude it by clicking the "Exclude" button next to the goal

20. Clear Existing Weights
You can remove all assigned goal weightages at once using the "Clear Weights" option, if you want to reassign them

21. Set Equal Weights
To distribute weight evenly across all created goals, click "Set Equal Weights", and the system will automatically assign equal values

22. Verify Total Weight
Ensure the total weight equals 100%; otherwise, goal submission will not be allowed

23. Submit Final Goals
Once goals are finalized and weightages are assigned correctly, click "Submit" to add them to the review cycle under Defined Goals

24. Edit Submitted Goals
If changes are required after submission, you can click "Edit Goals" to modify objectives, descriptions, or configurations

25. Review Goal Type Configuration
At the top of the Defined Goals section, review the goal type configuration

26. Review Selected Goal Cycle
You can also see the goal cycle linked to the review cycle to ensure goals are created under the correct cycle
