3. Add the Objective
Enter the objective you want to achieve

4. Add an Optional Goal Description
You may add a goal description to provide additional context or clarity. This field is optional and can be used to explain the intent of the goal

5. Enable Additional Settings
Enable Additional Settings to view and configure more details related to the goal you are creating

6. Select Goal Cycle
Review and select the appropriate goal cycle from the dropdown (Active, Upcoming, or Previous) to ensure the goal is created under the correct cycle; the start and due dates will auto-populate and can be adjusted if needed

7. Choose Goal Owners
The goal owner is displayed by default. You can also add additional owners if the goal needs to be shared or co-owned

8. Select Goal Type
Under Goal Type, select whether this goal is meant to be a Company Goal, Department Goal, or Individual Goal, depending on its purpose and scope

9. Set Goal Visibility
Choose the appropriate visibility level for the goal. Public makes the goal visible to everyone in the organization, Private restricts visibility to certain employees and Custom allows you to define specific visibility rules for selected individuals or teams

10. Choose the Progress Type
Choose the preferred Progress Type from the dropdown. This determines how progress will be measured and calculated for the goal

11. Select Progress Tracking Method
Under Track Progress, you can choose how goal progress is updated: manually through regular check-ins, automatically by rolling up progress from child goals or key results, or automatically via an external data source through an integration, depending on how you want progress to be tracked

12. Set Goal Alignment
In the Alignment section, use the dropdown to align the goal by choosing either Key Result to Parent Goal or Align Goal to Parent Goal

13. Add A Key Result
In the current review cycle, the configuration is set to Both Goals & Key Results. This means you can add either an individual goal or a goal with key results—both will be visible under the Define Goals section and can be added from there. To create a key result, click “Add a Key Result” under the relevant parent goal

14. Enter Key Result Details
Adding key results follows the same process as creating a parent goal or objective. You’ll provide similar details, such as the title, optional description, progress type, and other relevant settings

15. Add Another Key Result
Click "Add another Key Result" to include additional measurable outcomes for your goal

16. Create the Goal
Once all configurations are complete, click "Create" to add the goal

17. Adding Goals from the Define Goals Screen
Once objectives are created—either as individual goals or as goals with key results—you can add them to the review cycle from the Define Goals screen. On the right-hand side, click "Add" to include the goal in the selected review cycle. In this example, we are adding only an individual goal, without any key results

18. Adding Key Results to the Review Cycle
In this step, we add key results to the review cycle

19. Viewing Added Goals and Key Results
Here, we can see that the individual goal has been successfully added under the Define Goals section, along with other key results. The key results are displayed grouped under their respective parent goals. Please note that under this configuration, you cannot add both a parent goal and its key results to the review cycle at the same time. Key results must be added separately and should belong to a different parent goal

20. Reviewing Goal Type Configuration
At the top of the Define Goals section, you can review the goal type configuration applied to the review cycle

21. Verifying the Linked Goal Cycle
In this view, you can also verify the goal cycle linked to the review cycle. This ensures that goals and key results are created and added under the correct goal cycle, avoiding any configuration mismatches
