1. Open Define Goals Section
Click on the Define Goals option on the home page to begin defining your goals for the selected review cycle

2. View the Goals Listed for the Review Cycle
Once you click on Define Goals, you may notice that only a few goals are visible under the Goals section. These are the goals available to add for this specific review cycle, even though you may have created more goals in the tool

3. Verify the Goal Cycle Selected for the Review Cycle
Before checking the goals, you have created, first confirm the goal cycle selected for the review cycle. In this example, the cycle selected is November 2025

4. Check the Goal Type for the Review Cycle
Next, verify the goal type configured for the review cycle. Here, the goal type is Goal with Key Result, which means only goals that have key results will appear under the Define Goals section

5. Navigate to the Goals Module
Now, go to the Goals module to view all the goals you have already created in the system

6. Identify Goals Created Under a Different Goal Cycle
In the Goals module, you may notice that some goals belong to a different quarter or cycle. Goals created under cycles not selected for the review cycle will not appear under Define Goals

7. Check for Missing Key Results
Even within the correct cycle, only goals that have key results added will appear under Define Goals. Here, some goals may be missing because they do not have any key results assigned

8. Add a Key Result to the Missing Goal
Now we add a key result to one of the goals that was not appearing earlier in the Define Goals section due to missing key results

9. Return to the Define Goals Section
Go back to the Define Goals section. As soon as the key result is added, the previously missing goal now appears under the list. You can now add this goal to your Define Goals for the review cycle

10. Review Other Possible Reasons for Missing Goals
In this guide, we demonstrated two example cases for why goals may not appear under the Define Goals section. However, there can be other reasons as well.
Ensure that:
-
The goal cycle selected for the review cycle matches the cycle under which the goals were created.
-
The goal type matches the configuration of the review cycle. In this example, we used Goal with Key Result, but in other cases the goal type could be different.
Carefully verifying these configurations will help identify and resolve most goal visibility issues!
